Jim (Whitefield) *RESERVED*
Jim is a Smooth Coat, male Chihuahua. Date of birth 02/07/2015. Foster in Whitefield, Manchester. We all have a huge soft spot for Jim. He arrived in our care in pain, from what we believed were his legs. He saw the orthopedic vets who confirmed he does have luxating patella but only low grade. He was grossly overweight so diet and exercise began. He lost lots of weight, was running around and seemed so much happier. Until he got up one morning and couldn't wee.He went straight to the vet who kept him in, poor Jim had kidney and bladder stones. The vet did warn how seriously ill he was and euthanasia was an option. We opted for surgery. All stones removed. However as the stones had been there for such a long time, his recovery has been slow. He is now doing so well. Jim must eat a special diet for the rest of his life, to stop more stones forming. He's looking for a home where someone is home most of the time. Either on his own or with one other little dog. No cats and no children. Jim has been with us many months now and we would love to see him finally settled in his forever home. He must keep the weight off and could do with losing a little bit more. Loves his walks. Chipped, vaccinated and neutered. Home check and adoption fee apply.
